Mainholm Complete: 160 New Affordable Homes Delivered
We recently completed the Mainholm project in Ayr for South Ayrshire Council through hub South West Scotland, delivering 160 much-needed affordable homes.
Thanks go to LMA Architects, Clancy Consulting, Armour Construction Consultants and our supply chain partners for their key roles in the success of this development.
Projects like Mainholm also support our Apprenticeship Programme and wider community benefit initiatives, which remain central to our ethos.

St Peter's Primary School
We had a fantastic morning at St Peter’s Primary School in Ardrossan as part of World of Work Week, working with P1 to P4 pupils on exciting STEM activities.
It was great to see their curiosity and creativity as they designed their dream homes and then tried to build them.
A big thank you to the pupils and staff for the warm welcome, and a special mention for the thoughtful thank you card they made.

Primary School Competition
Primary School Competition
We recently held a competition at Locharbriggs Primary School and Noblehill Primary School.
We recently held a competition at Locharbriggs Primary School and Noblehill Primary School, as part of a Health & Safety campaign we are running in conjunction with the refurbishment and extension works currently taking place within the schools.
After presenting to both schools about site safety, making the children aware of potential site hazards and discussing the importance of PPE and site signage, we asked pupils from each school to design a Health & Safety poster that would raise awareness of the possible dangers onsite.
Pupils were encouraged to take part in the competition with the incentive of winning vouchers for Fusion trampoline park and the winning posters would also be displayed at both sites.
When the competition closed last week, the entries were so good that we couldn’t choose just one winner from each school, we had to choose two!
We’d like to say a massive well done to Lukas of P6-7 and Brooke of P5 from Locharbriggs PS and to Alexa of P4 and Quinn of P1 from Noblehill PS for their winning entries. We’re sure you’ll all agree that we have some future Health & Safety executives in the making!

A ‘day in the life’
A ‘day in the life’
We recently had two students from the HNC Construction Management class, on site shadowing a ‘day in the life’.
As part of our Work Experience Programme in Partnership with Glasgow Clyde College, we recently had two students from the HNC Construction Management class, on site shadowing a ‘day in the life’ of our Health & Safety Advisor, Stuart McQuade.
Construction Curriculum Manager, Allan Dickie said “Anthony and Jack, are halfway through their HNC Construction Management course and doing well, both students agreed that witnessing first-hand how things operate on site was invaluable to their intended vocations within construction, and they now intend to go on to year 2 of the Construction degree programme at Caledonian University.”
Station Road development, Dalbeattie
Station Road development, Dalbeattie
Great to see the progress that's being made at our Station Road development in Dalbeattie.
We're preparing to handover 16 brand new two- and three-bedroom homes in the summer of 2023 to our clients at Loreburn Housing Association.
Eight of the homes will be Passivhaus certified with the Passivhaus Institute, and the remaining eight will be built to the same Passivhaus standards. Each home will have an air source heat pump, instead of a gas boiler, as well as solar panels and electric vehicle charging points - all of which will be helping us along on our journey towards achieving net zero.
