Ashleigh Building are involved in a number of Secondary School activities including:
Ashleigh Building run a Construction Partnership Project in conjunction with Belmont Academy, and Ayrshire College every year. The project is for 12nr S3 pupils and lasts for a total of 6 weeks. The programme consists of nine lessons teaching the pupils about the various careers in construction and the different construction methods. The lessons consist of joiner work, brickwork, decoration, architecture, cost planning and programming. The project is based on a live Ashleigh development, and ends with the pupils presenting their group task and all participants obtaining a Dynamic Youth Award.
Ashleigh Building have recently started the above project at Ardrossan Academy. The project is based on the design elements, where the pupils have to design a housing development, provide a cost plan, and develop a programme of the works.
